Beginning with RIMOWA’s construction: aluminium, repeated grooves, rivets, and precise joins. These qualities suggested a connection to Minimalism’s industrial materials, geometric order, and physical presence.
Drawing on Donald Judd’s Specific Objects, each suitcase is approached as a unified sculptural form. Repetition and measured spacing extend the rhythm of the grooves into the architecture, making the intervals between cases part of the composition.
Changing the viewpoint alters how the same objects appear. The aim was to reveal the product’s sculptural qualities through material, space, and perception while preserving its construction.
Gestalt principles guide how the images are perceived: similarity connects identical cases, reflections create continuity, and light–shadow contrast defines their boundaries.
